Banksman (Signaller) Course
This course is aimed at those in the transport/warehousing sector and ensures that companies meet their legal requirements and reduces the risk of costly accidents.
Course Aim:
This course is aimed at those in the transport/warehousing sector and ensures that companies meet their legal requirements and reduces the risk of costly accidents. The course will raise the awareness of the dangers caused when reversing and provide candidates with theoretical and practical knowledge, techniques, and hand signals to assist drivers when manoeuvring their vehicle before loading / unloading.
Course Outline:
- Introduction
- Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005.
- Employers & Employees legal duties under current Health & Safety Legislation.
- Identify workplace hazards regarding Slinger/Signaller.
- Understand the principles for the correct selection of Lifting Equipment.
- Identify & apply the full range of Slinging & Signaller methods.
- Apply & Understand Signaller/Signaller Operations.
Course Duration: One Day Course
Course Method:
The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical training.

Jungheinrich Training Centre Cork or on Customer Site (vehicle to be supplied on site by Company)

On completion of this course candidates will be able to identify the hazards and risk of beings a Banksman Operator, demonstrate hand signals/safe standing positions. They can confidently identify and report potential danger areas on site therefore preventing incidents from occurring.
Instruction and Certification:
All instruction and certification are conducted by accredited instructors who are qualified as such in their respective disciplines. Successful candidates will receive a Jungheinrich certificate after demonstrating their skills and knowledge.
